Lawson Analyst

Phoenix Health Systems, Inc., a nationally recognized healthcare IT outsourcing and consulting firm is currently seeking a Lawson Analyst to work at our client site in the Fort Worth, TX metro area.
Summary:
Responsible for performing routine maintenance, analyzing requests and generating effective solutions through providing operational support for the Lawson suite of applications; Implements projects as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides appropriate support for assigned applications and systems; analyzes and prioritizes requests for support that require system changes/table setups, and recommends/implements appropriate solutions.
- Processes routine reports and design/develops new reports.
- Recommends, sets up, and maintains security user profiles, permission lists, and roles.
- Identifies and formulates potential system customizations, configurations, and custom reporting.
- Designs, develops and performs test plans and scripts. Troubleshoots and implements solutions for problem issues resulting from testing. Assures that all system changes follow Change Management procedures prior to submitting to supervisor for review.
- Prepares system cutover plan and go-live validation procedures.
- Uses project management methodology in support of system changes.
- Works with end-user to documents procedures in support of new vendor enhancement and/or new development (customization) and develops.
- Effectively communicates with project team members in problem resolution, product development feasibility inquiries, vendor enhancements, and to promote a customer service oriented environment.
- Actively participates in ongoing education concerning information systems and their capabilities for continual professional growth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must possess and demonstrate logical and analytical skills.
- Communication skills, initiative, and dependability are needed.
- Must possess the necessary discretion to deal with confidential information.
- Must understand Lawson Process Flow and Self-Service.
- Understanding of Lawson modules: GL, AP, AR, PR and HR
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Three or more year’s progressive experience in health care financial accounting is required.
- Experience with Lawson LSF9 is preferred.
- Experience with coordinating a project team on implementing, upgrading and/or developing various system components is preferred.
