LYNX Medical Systems Selects Phoenix Health Systems to Provide HIPAA Security Assessment Services
Montgomery Village, MD – August 9, 2006 – Phoenix Health Systems, Inc. (Phoenix), a national provider of healthcare strategic consulting, IT outsourcing and revenue cycle management services, announced today the signing of a contract with LYNX Medical Systems (LYNX), Bellevue, Washington.
Under the agreement, Phoenix will conduct a HIPAA Risk Evaluation as part of compliance services specified by the Security provisions of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The HIPAA Risk Assessment and Evaluation will identify the current LYNX security posture in comparison to the requirements of the final HIPAA Security Rule. The HIPAA Evaluation will also assess the ability of current security mechanisms to enforce LYNX security policy, assist LYNX customers and clients, and ascertain the capabilities of existing controls to conform to the HIPAA Security Regulations.
