Nancy A. Miracle Appointed to CCHIT Cardiovascular Medicine Work Group
Dallas, TX – June 24, 2008 – Nancy A. Miracle of Phoenix Health Systems, Inc. has been appointed by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Technology to the 2008 Cardiovascular Medicine Work Group. The mission of CCHIT is to create an efficient, credible, sustainable mechanism for the certification of healthcare information technology in order to accelerate the acceptance of robust, interoperable healthcare IT throughtout the United States healthcare system.
As a work group member, Ms. Miracle is responsible for developing standards-based criteria and test scripts to inspect and certify electonic health record (EHR) products used in the practice of cardiovascular medicine. The work group is composed of approximately 12 to 18 leading professionals with extensive healthcare industry experience, including implementing healthcare IT and EHRs, and previous contributions to a large industry work group, committee or standards project.

The Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) is an independent, nonprofit organization that has been recognized by the federal government as an official certification body for electronic health record products.
