Phoenix Health Systems Executive Team

Ronald L. Gue, Ph.D., Chairman, Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer

Ron Gue is Chairman, Board of Directors and CEO of Phoenix Health Systems. Dr. Gue founded Phoenix, a hospital information technology services company in 1987. Dr. Gue has a B.E.S and Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins University. He began his career as a college professor at the University of Florida and Southern Methodist University.

In addition to Phoenix, Dr. Gue has been the CEO of two other hospital information technology companies. He founded The Medicus Corporation (later Medicus Systems Corporation), which was acquired by HBO Corporation (now McKesson Healthcare services) to provide a platform for the growth of its hospital IT outsourcing division. He also acquired Medical Systems International Corporation a hospital information technology outsourcing company that had a hospital software product line with a distributed network platform.

Dr. Gue also has been a healthcare IT consulting practice leader for a small Chicago firm and for a Big 8 accounting firm. He has been a consultant for numerous private and governmental healthcare organizations in the US, Asia, the Middle East and Europe. He has been a frequent speaker at many professional society meetings and an expert witness in judicial proceedings in several states. He is the author of one textbook and many articles published in refereed professional journals. Dr. Gue is a member of the National Advisory Council of the Whiting School of Engineering of the Johns Hopkins University.

Roy Boyd, Senior Vice President, Leveraged Services

As the leader of Phoenix Health Systems Leveraged Services, Roy Boyd provides technical and operational leadership and strategic planning while delivering IT services to hospitals located across the United States. Mr. Boyd brings more than 20 years experience in information services and provides vast technical knowledge in areas of information security, strategic services and IT controls to Phoenix's outsourcing and consulting clients. Mr. Boyd's focus is to create fiscally sound ROI-generating technical solutions for client hospitals to achieve a higher level of service. Mr. Boyd consults with provider organizations on management and support of operating systems, third-party products and service agreements, as well as hardware, software and operational processes. Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Boyd was director of service delivery/technical solutions for the Healthcare Solutions division of Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), where he provided business process outsourcing solutions with special emphasis on information services to healthcare clients.

John Gerhrke, Senior Vice President, IT Operations

John Gehrke has rejoined Phoenix Health Systems after a brief retirement to lead Phoenix's IT Operations. Having been a part of the company since 1996, Mr. Gehrke brings considerable healthcare IT experience to our outsourcing and consulting engagements. Mr. Gehrke directs healthcare information systems with client hospitals and multi-provider organizations, providing management expertise in clinical, administrative, financial and managed care systems, systems integration, networking, and IS facilities stabilization and reengineering.  In addition, Mr. Gehrke's expertise includes enterprise-wide operations effectiveness assessment, IS strategic planning and performance improvement, vendor evaluation and selection, contract negotiation, and directing enterprise-wide and departmental system implementations. Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Gehrke was a Vice President with Sheldon Dorenfest & Associates where he consulted with major hospitals and other healthcare organizations in areas of information systems strategic planning, implementation, and management.

David Lewis, Senior Vice President, Client Services

David Lewis has returned to Phoenix Health Systems to lead the company's Client Services. Mr. Lewis is a senior health information technology (HIT) consultant with over 30 years of healthcare consulting and IT experience. This includes extensive experience in clinical information systems and related clinical operations in both acute and ambulatory settings, project management, HIT advisory services and senior management of provider organizations' IT functions. Mr. Lewis has led large Electronic Health Records implementation projects, responsible for both software implementation and clinical transformation efforts. Mr. Lewis has served as a CIO and has extensive experience in working with organizations to determine requirements for new healthcare applications. Prior to rejoining Phoenix, Mr. Lewis was a Principal at CSC Consulting where he was a project manager in CSC's health delivery EHR implmentation group. Mr. Lewis was Vice President of Phoenix Health Systems from 1992-2002 where he led Phoenix's consulting service line.

Michael Robinson, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing

As the leader of Phoenix Health Systems sales and marketing teams Michael Robinson understands the complex issues hospital executives face in this ever changing regulatory environment and how difficult it is for acute care organizations to stay focused on maintaining and improving core competencies. Mr. Robinson brings over 18 years healthcare industry experience, which includes managing large implementation and consulting teams, developing, implementing and managing strategic initiatives, and selling complex HIS and consultative service engagements to a broad spectrum of acute care clients. Mr. Robinson joined Phoenix Health Systems after nine years with McKesson where he served in a variety of roles which included Executive Director Implementation Services and Territory Vice President of Sales for McKesson's 14 state Western Region. Prior to joining McKesson Michael served in various leadership roles within IBM's Global Service Practice, Qwest Communications, and Anderson Consulting. Michael obtained his BA from University of Northern Colorado, and his Masters of Health Administration (MHA) from University of Washington in Seattle.
