Systems Analyst

Phoenix Health Systems, Inc., a nationally recognized healthcare IT outsourcing and consulting firm is currently seeking a Systems Analyst to work at our client site in the Cheverly, MD metro area.

Summary:
Responsible for the implementation, support, documentation and training and of the Radiology clinical systems in response to information system needs.  Responsible for analyzing requests and generating effective solutions through the implementation of projects involving information systems as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implements, supports and documents new system features and capabilities.
  • Communicates effectively to provide optimal support of all departments’ IS needs.
  • Provides appropriate support for assigned applications and systems.
  • Acquires and maintains a detailed working knowledge of software packages and applications, written or purchased, to assist and promote efficient use.
  • Actively participates in Accelerated Improvement Processes as it relates to IS, including working with interdepartmental groups and serving on committees to assist other departments with their “AIPâ€� processes.
  • Must respond to problems, requests, and support via the Help Desk tool per Service Level Agreement (SLA) standards.
  • Must provide collaborative support of the PACS system with the PACS Administrator
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years of working knowledge and experience with the hospital’s Radiology application software.
  • Experience in requirements analysis and hardware-software integration in applications systems design is required. 
  • Must possess the necessary discretion to deal with confidential information. 
  • Experience utilizing various EMR and PACS clinical systems.
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, management and end users. 
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent communication skills, initiative, tact, diplomacy and dependability to perform all duties of this position.
  • Able to compose and write clearly in order to provide systems or program specifications, project status reports, work plans, documentation, training or user manuals and correspondence.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally (in person and via telephone) as well as in writing.
  • Knowledge of SQL database required.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
