Nancy A. Miracle Re-appointed to CCHIT Cardiovascular Medicine Work Group
Dallas, TX – July 10, 2009. Nancy A. Miracle of Phoenix Health Systems, a national provider of health care information technology outsourcing, consulting and business process solutions, has been re-appointed by the Certification Commission for Healthcare Technology (CCHIT®) to the Cardiovascular Medicine Work Group for the 2009-2010 development cycle. CCHIT is a private, nonprofit organization that has been recognized by the federal government as an official certification body for electronic health records. Its mission is to accelerate the adoption of robust, interoperable health information technology by creating a credible, efficient certification process.
As a work group member, Miracle is responsible for assisting in the development of conformance criteria and test scripts to inspect and certify electronic health record (EHR) products used in the practice of cardiovascular medicine. Certification requirements are based on widely accepted industry standards and the input from a variety of stakeholders throughout the health care industry. The workgroup is composed of 15 leading professionals with extensive healthcare industry experience including practical experience in implementing healthcare IT and EHRs.
